I first encountered Antero Alli’s Angel Tech: A Modern Shaman’s Guide to Reality Selection at a pivotal point in my life. I read the book as a college student traveling across the United States, visiting many cities for the first time, and having fun learning about the great American and Canadian land and the cultural life therein. Reading Antero’s book, which explored and explained the Timothy Leary and Robert Anton Wilson’s 8-Circuit Model of Intelligence in detail, while providing further context and tools for promoting a state of relaxed concentrated positivity. That’s the simplest way I can explain it. Alli’s elucidations and additions to Leary and Wilson’s work added another dimension of psychological understanding of those circuits. For instance, when writing about the 1st circuit’s emphasis on physical security and freedom, Antero wrote, “Our personal freedom is sometimes defined by the manner in which we respond to invasion, violation, and emotional challenge.” Freedom involves not just how we move on the earth, but how we behave when confronted with a violation to our personal space. Alli, “updated the map,” and in so doing, added another layer of philosophical fun and practical insight that I carried with me ever since.

Antero Alli was the author of Angel Tech: A Modern Shaman’s Guide to Reality Selection, The Akashic Record Player, and The 8-Circuit Brain: Navigational Strategies for the Energetic Body. I’ve read them all, yet, Angel Tech remains my favorite of Antero’s works. It was full of many “ah-ha” moments, and again…
